Quality Improvement Support Services

The following services are provided in support of our quality improvement work.

• Study design - developing quality improvement research questions and a methodology to produce answers.

• Sample selection - determining sample size, criteria for inclusion, and sampling methodology.

• Data collection - using membership and claims files, surveys, medical record reviews, and other techniques.

• Data analysis - using descriptive and inferential statistics, statistical tests, and regional/national comparisons.

• Report preparation - creating clear and comprehensive reports that include an executive summary, a description of the research methodology, an overview of the statistical tools used, a presentation of the findings and an analysis of the results and recommendations.

• Pursuit of recommendations - taking actions such as patient outreach strategies, provider education, and data systems improvements.
