A Customized Process
We provide each client with a customized survey instrument and related materials. In fact, the entire survey process is customized and includes the following very specific steps:
- First and foremost, working with you to find out what you want to accomplish and how you think you might use the findings to make improvements where appropriate.
- Completing survey instrument development or, if preferred, using a HealthcareData Company standard survey instrument that has been modified to meet your needs.
- Assessing and evaluating your database for accuracy, consistency, completeness, timeliness, and other characteristics.
- Determining the appropriate sampling methodology and sample size based on the "cleaned up" database and on your desired confidence levels that would be attributable to survey findings.
- Preparing all survey materials - including survey printing, writing the cover letter and instructions, preparing mailing labels, stuffing envelopes, and other related matters.
- Developing and agreeing upon follow-up protocols, if required, to increase the survey response.
- Creating (or modifying, as the case may be) database application programs.
- Receiving the completed surveys and scanning them into a SAS database.
- Applying proprietary computer programs to the SAS database to generate analytic output, and then analyzing the output.
- Preparing an outline of the Survey Report for your review.
- Writing a thorough, easy-to-read draft report for your review.
- Preparing a final (easy-to-read) report and a companion CARS document (CARS - Corrective Action Reference Sheets - are reference sheets on each individual survey respondent who made survey comments and asked to be contacted; the sheets contain the verbatim comments and other data).
- Preparing a PowerPoint presentation for your use.
